improve proprietary LIDAR (Light Detection and Arranging) system for the purpose of
creating DEMs (Digital Elevation Models) of the earths terrain. Operate Inflight
Digital Surveying Camera, airborne GPS systems and Inertial Measurement equipment. Assist
pilot with aircraft duties. Test and evaluate new aircraft systems for suitability and
compatability with current equipment..
Manage projects in the field, coordinate with customers,
incorporating their needs into geographic data. Survey ground points with static and
kinematic solutions to double check LIDAR airborne data. Translate Coordinate systems into
the local needs of customers.
Process Topographic data, correcting for GPS differential position
and aircraft Roll, Pitch and Yaw during data collection. Run initial Quality Checks on
data.
Coordinate with aircraft refurbishment company,
recommending changes to aircraft systems configurations.

aboard Lockheed C-130E Hercules aircraft. Perform aircraft

Operate and monitor engine, propeller and aircraft system controls. Refuel aircraft.
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning aircraft systems in support of military contingency
operations throughout the world. Assist with airborne VFR and IFR navigation.
Additional (non-flying) duties include standardizing
aircraft scheduling procedures and forms, creating presentations, and developing training
folders. Perform refresher training on aircraft systems and performance. Act as informal
computer support within the squadron. Created Baltimore area locator guide for transiting
aircrews. Created numerous websites for the internet and intranet.

Attend annual flight simulator and Cockpit Resource Management (CRM) refresher
